The Oroville Association of REALTORS® offers the following levels of membership: Designated REALTOR®, REALTOR®, Broker, Appraiser, MLS Assistant, MLS Only and Affiliate.

Q: What are the qualifications to join the Oroville Association of REALTORS®?
A: 2.1 REALTOR® members, whether primary or secondary, who are principals, partners, corporate officers or branch office managers of real estate firms shall:
(a) Maintain a current, valid California real estate broker or salesperson license or California real estate appraisal certification or license; and
(b) Act as a sole proprietor, partner, corporate officer of a real estate firm or office manager of a real estate firm acting on behalf of the firm’s principal(s); and
(c) Remain actively engaged in the real estate profession;
(d) Maintain or be associated with a real estate office located within the state of California or a state contiguous thereto; and
(e) Have no record of official sanctions rendered by the courts or other lawful authorities for (i) violations of civil rights laws or real estate license laws within the past three years or (ii) criminal convictions within the past ten years where the crime was punishable by death or imprisonment in excess of one year under the law under which the applicant was convicted (ten years is measured from the date of the conviction or the release of the applicant from the confinement imposed for that conviction, whichever is the later date).

Q: Do I need to fill out an application to join the Oroville Association of REALTORS®?

Q: Once I fill out the application, what do I need to do?
A: After completing the application in detail, if you are a Salesperson, have your Designated REALTOR® (Broker) sign your application (See page 5 of the application) and your Broker of Record must be reflected under the DRE records online.
Q: What do I need to do next to sign up with the Oroville Association of REALTORS?
A: Please contact the association at 530-533-9112 to make an appointment and allow approximately an hour to process your application. You will need to bring with you the following items: the signed application, a copy of your California Driver's License or ID, a copy of your Department of Real Estate License and a form of payment. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card ( MC, Visa, or Discover).
Q: What are your hours
A: Our regular business hours are Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Friday 9 - 4 pm, and we request that you contact the association at 530-533-9112 to make an appointment so we may be able to service you promptly and efficiently. The processing time to complete an application is approximately 1 hour.

Q: Are there any additional requirements that must be met to complete and finalize my membership
A: Yes, once you have applied for membership and paid your membership dues, you will receive information on the New Member Orientation Class. The orientation must be completed in the first 90 days of membership.
We also require all new members complete the New Member Code of Ethics online course in the first 90 days.
